Description 
Summary

Samples of phytobenthos and zoobenthos were taken at several sampling stations in 1993 and 1994 in the Puck Lagoon area. Samples were determined and, on this basis, weight factors for the main species were found in order to evaluate phytobenthos biomass by means of a prototype device combining underwater camera, computer and GPS. The DAE IEP data set consists of phytobenthos and zoobenthos abundance and biomass at the sampling stations, weight factors, coverage of the bottom by vegetation, biomasses estimated by means of a new method as well as documentation underwater video-film and technical specification of the prototype device for underwater observations.
