Description
Summary

On the basis of multi-annual research, a computer statistical analysis of the data was performed in order to find the interdependence between the biotic and abiotic components of the environment. This was the first step in developing the mathematical model of the future biocenotic changes in the marine environment of the Baltic Sea. Statistical analyses for the biological parameters and the physico-chemical parameters were performed based on the data from 1979 to 1986, whereas the data on heavy metal concentrations and chlorinated hydrocarbons were based on data from 1974 to 1987. The results of the analyses, in the form of diagrams, correlation coefficients, regression equations, mean values etc., are available at the DAE IEP.
