Description
Summary

The meteorological, hydrological and hydrochemical data are stored on magnetic media (HDD) within a non-standard PC-based database. There are about 2,500 records for the period 2005-2006. Each record represents one measurement depth. The database is regularly updated and quality controlled in accordance with IOC, ICES and HELCOM guidelines. This includes both formal control and scientific control. The station name forms the key reference to the data records. Selections can be made from the database by station name, time period, month, depth, parameter and programme. The data on hazardous substances, radionuclides, microbiological and biological data are stored on CDs and in other dedicated local databases. Data collected within the COMBINE project are sent to HELCOM data centres maintained by ICES Data Centre and to EEA.
