Description
Summary

The collected biological data set is also used by the Baltic Fisheries Assessment Working Group (ICES) to assess the flounder stocks size in Subdivision 25. The biological flatfish samples are collected from landings at harbours and also at sea on board of fishing cutters and boats. A variety of biological data includes length and weight at age groups, age structure of exploited stocks, sex ratio and maturation in annual cycle. The results of flatfish single analysis as well as length and mass measurements are computerised and stored from 1987 to 2000 in a simple format database, in the Microsoft DBasic PC programme and from 2001 in Excel sheet.
