Description
Summary

During 1994-1995, 15 cores of length 6-15m in the area of the Vistula Lagoon and 13 cores of length 3-10 on the shore were taken and investigated. The following analyses were done: 38 granulometric (samples from 7 cores); determinations of Ag, Al, As, Ba, Be, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, Li, Mg, Mn, Mo, Ni, P, Pb, S, Sr, Ti, V, Zn, TOC in 28 samples from 7 cores; 14 mineralogical; determination of macro and microfauna in 95 samples from 16 cores, 15 determinations of radiocarbon age, and determination of diatom flora in 40 samples. Analyses of 14C were done at the radiocarbon laboratory of the Silesian Technical University in Gliwice. Diatoms were analyzed by A. Witkowski from Gdansk University. All other analyses were done in the Polish Geological Institute. A report on the results of the investigation (in Polish) is illustrated by a bathymetric map, 4 geological cross-sections, 2 diatomological diagrams, geological profiles and detailed descriptions of all cores. All results of the analyses are stored in Fox-Pro database. Graphic enclosures are digitized (Corel Draw) and stored in a computer.
