Description
Summary

During the surveys on the sea, 194km of seismoacoustic profiling were carried out, 180 cores were taken and observations of the sea floor were made at 37 sites. In the laboratory, 530 analyses of grain size distribution, 96 analyses of petrographic composition of gravelly fraction and other specialist analyses were carried out. As a result of the investigations, 8 resource fields of 8 to 10.5 km**2 area each were recognized. The thickness of the deposits is between 0.3m and 2.0m, with an average of about 1.0m and the average content of grains smaller than 2.0mm is 64%. The geological balanced resources are evaluated at ca 48.0 million tons.
