Light absorption in the water column

Description
Summary

Optical data were collected with two objectives in mind: to observe the sediment transport (both of mineral and biological origin), and to observe optical water properties determining photosynthetic conditions of the water and affecting primary production processes. Downwelling irradiance at the sea surface was measured every day during those periods. This forms the daily time series, averaging every 30 seconds, recorded from dusk to dawn. The data set includes: 1990 - 26 stations in the Skagerrak ('c', 'Kd'); 1991 - 116 stations in the Skagerrak ('c'), 26 stations ('Kd').
