| Summary | The aim of the data bank is to collect and organise coastal profile data. The profiles were read off 1:2500 and 1:1000 bathymetric and coastal zone plans along actually measured profiles. Only those profiles for which location and direction (coordinates of base point and azimuth of the profile) were known were recorded and related to the State Geodetical Grid. The profiles are stored, with information on their location and azimuth and date of measurements, in the form of series of pairs of numbers representing distance from base point and height with respect to reference level. Values of distance are recorded to the nearest metre; values of height to the nearest 0.1 metre. The data set comprises over 540 profiles. |
