Description | |
Summary | The aim of collecting such data as parameters of wind and waves is to describe typical conditions in the Polish part of the coastal zone. The measurements have been carried out since 1993 at the Coastal Research Station in Lubiatowo. In 1995, wave parameters were recorded from 15 September to 31 December. Data were recorded every three hours for 30 minutes for waves and 10 minutes for wind. The wave height was measured in two points: 120 metres and 270 metres from the shoreline at water depths 1.3m and 3.6m, respectively. Wind parameters were measured at the station 200m from the shoreline. Maximum, minimum and average values of all parameters are stored in summary tables. Raw data are also available. Deep water waves are recorded with a waverider, deployed on the depth of about 20 m, 4 km offshore. |
