Summary | Total palynomorphs quantity in Gudauta area is low - 63 taxons. Secondary pollen increased in beginning of Holocene. This fact is an indicator of strong erosion processes in this area landslide activity in cold and regression phases of Early Holocene and Subboreal periods. In palynospectra dominated Abies, Picea, Betula, Fagus. Pollen preservation and concentration was poor. In Preboreal and Atlantic periods Castanea pollen dominates, all thermophilous taxa quantity is increased, climate was warm. |
