Data collected using standard echosounder device gear mounted on the front of a boat for determining the depth of the lake by measuring time taken for sound echoes to return to the listener. The purpose of the survey was to understand the depth profile of Lough Feeagh to support ecosystem analysis of the lake catchment. Data collection undertaken by NUI Galway in consultation with the Marine Institute Newport facility. Data coverage 100% of the lake area surveyed. |
