| Summary | The coastal hydrometeorological observation net consists of 8 nearshore stationary posts: 3 of them are situated in the Southeastern Baltic Sea - Nida, Klaipeda, Palanga and 4 - in the Curonian Lagoon - Klaipeda Strait, Juodkrante, Vente, Nida and 1 is in Uostadvaris, which is situated in the mouth of the river Nemunas. Observations and measurements are performed 1-3 times a day. The water level is measured using a HM-3 gauge, marine recorders of Rordance type. The water temperature is measured using mercury thermometers TM-3.Water salinity - with salimeters AUTOSAL 8400 and HM-65. The air temperature is measured in a TM-1 meteorological cage with psychrometric thermometers TM-4. The speed of wind is observed with an anemorumbometer M-63, a wind indicator. Ice, visibility, wave parameters are observed visually. |
