Description
Summary

A decision support system (DSS) was developed in order to support the estuary water quality management. This DSS included two data bases that were developed for this purpose, using the previously existing data: FRAGATA (estuary quality data), and MARGENS (polluting sources data). Mathematical models of different complexity were developed to evaluate the water quality effects caused within the estuary by any combination of polluting loads, tides and freshwater flows.
