| Description | |
| Summary | 2D models are organized in a package of models based on a hydrodynamical model (MOHID). This package includes pre- and post-processing modules and the following models: a) A water quality model based on an advection-diffusion transport model using the QUICK algorithm (MOTAD); b) A bed flux sediment transport model including the most common bed flux sediment transport formulas (BEDFLUX); and c) An eulerian-lagrangean dispersion model to simulate plumes of submarine outfalls (OUTFALL). Under development are models for cohesive sediment transport and a module to simulate the interaction between physics and hydrodynamics. Most of the models are developed in finite differences. A hydrodynamical model using finite elements is also under development. |
