Description
Summary

The structure of benthic macrofauna communities was studied in seven coastal lagoons. Macrobenthos colonization comes from two different sources: fresh water and marine. In these systems, organic enrichment, anoxia and/or decline of salinity progressively shifts the community towards more stress- tolerant and limnetic situations.
