Description 
Summary

The aim of the project is to study the ichthyological resources in Ria de Aveiro lagoon. Data on relative abundance of the species of fish, as well as the structure and stability of their populations. Data also on age and growth of eel using otolith interpretation validated by means of length frequency analysis; biology of sea bass; abundance of grey mullets, including the seasonal occurrence of juveniles and the growth increase in both length and weight, and suitability of these species for stocking and rearing in the salt pans of the lagoon; abundance, including the seasonal occurrence, age and growth, and reproduction of the gobies occurring in the lagoon.
