Description
Summary

The main objective is the study of environmental conditions that can influence tuna fish migrations. Tuna are the most important commercial species landed in Madeira. Sea surface temperatures (SST) are recorded. This programme is based on remote sensing - visual observations of fish schools and SST records are carried out with the help of a plane from the Portuguese Air Force.
