Pelagic trawl nets

Reproduction of Phycis phycis: length at first maturity, spawning period and fecundity were studied. Otoliths were used to determine the age and growth of P. phycis: the occurrence of annuli on the otoliths was confirmed. Maximum age of fish collected was 15 years and the parameters of the von Bertalanffy equation of growth in length were: Loo = 65.32, k = 0.19 and t0 = -0.28. The length-weight relationship was done. Virtual Population Analysis (VPA) was done.
