Description 
Summary

A trial fishery with benthic traps was carried out by the Directorate of Fisheries of the Regional Government of the Azores. Sub-samples were obtained by DOP for closer examination. The traps were set from 18 to 864 m. Four species of pandalid shrimps were caught of which three had not been previously recorded from the Azores. Also two species of hippolytids were captured, one of them was new to science.
