| Summary | The clam population (Ruditapes decussatus) of the coastal lagoon of 'Santo-Cristo' in S. Jorge island, is exploited artisanally, and is of great importance locally. Data on the morphometry and reproduction of this species have been regularly recorded. Now, the exploitation of this small resource is controlled by annual licences. |
