Description
Summary

The zooplankton of the Azores is poorly known. Very few papers exist on this subject. The main taxonomic groups of the zooplankton collected on a monthly basis in 'Porto-Pim' Bay, were recorded. The ichthyoplankton, larvae of decapoda crustacea and the more common zooplankton species were identified, when possible. The copepod Acartia sp. is one of the most common species in the zooplankton of the Bay. Morphometric data from this species, chaetognats and mysidacca were also recorded.
