| Summary | Commercial landings of mackerel (mainly from trawl) have been sampled in the harbours in order to determine their composition by length; some of these samples are observed in the laboratory to determine their composition by sex, maturation stages and other biological characteristics. Two or three survey cruises a year were carried out to study distribution, abundance and biology. |
