Description
Summary

The project involves the introduction and development in Portugal of quicker and more efficient techniques in the search for DSP and PSP biotoxins and pathogenic microorganisms (Salmonella and Vibrio), avoiding the use of bioassays and using chemical methods, namely HPLC. The aims of this project are to fulfil the rules of commercialisation of bivalve molluscs in due time, avoiding a long period of closed season and to protect public health more efficiently.
