| Summary | The project comprises a study of the mercury accumulation processes in fish, molluscs and crustaceans of economic value. Variations with latitude and depth are taken into consideration. Relationships between the observed levels and biological parameters are studied. The results of this research are used to establish Portuguese and EC legislation and to participate in ICES programmes and the Oslo and Paris Conventions. |
