The data set consists of physical, chemical and biological data collected in different periods of the year (usually seasonal) over the inner part of the western Black Sea shelf, in the same station network. They have been used to estimate the seasonal and inter-annual variability of the investigated parameters. Due to the large variation ranges, only expert inspection of the data has been done. The data are stored by cruises, each oceanographic station header giving the date, time, position, depth, and station code. For each standard depth, the values of the physical and chemical parameters are given. The phytoplankton, zooplankton and zoobenthos are stored in a similar manner in separate files. All the data have been collected by the R/V Steaua de Mare I of NIMRD Grigore Antipa. The total amount of data occupies about 180kb in 90 files.
