27 sites at the Romanian Black Sea coast (1 to 20m in depth) from Sulina to Vama Veche (data set limits: 45.10 N - 29.55 E to 43.46 N - 28.40 E)

Zoobenthos taxonomic abundance; Zoobenthos taxonomy-related wet weight biomass per unit area of the bed

The principal objective of this project was to assess the coastal marine ecosystem state, in order to elaborate the Strategy for Conservation of Marine Biodiversity from the Romanian Black Sea area. The data were collected by the R/V Steaua de Mare of NIMRD from Sulina to Vama Veche in the 2003 summer at the depths of 1, 3, 5, 10, 20m. And were processed 27 samples. The data are stored in files in digital format and are used for scientific support for elaboration of the Strategy for Marine Biodiversity Conservation from Romania.
