The data set is systematized by groups of seas: the north group - the Baltic Sea, the White Sea, the Barents Sea, the Arctic Seas; the south group - the Sea of Azov, the Aral Sea, the Caspian Sea, the Black Sea; the Far East group - the Bering Sea, the Sea of Okhotsk, the Sea of Japan. Each cruise has its specific period of observations within the time period indicated. The data set is updated on a regular basis. The data set is included into the information base of the Oceanography - Seas data bank. The initial media is a perforated tape. Several Directorates of the Hydrometeorological Service were involved in data perforation.
