Black Sea 2000 was the first project to implement data management during ESIMO. The purpose of project was the test of new instruments, transmission of the coastal observations to RIHMI-WDC by satellite 'Meteosat' and test new information technology. This project utilised a method of a coastal polygon. The coastal observations within this polygon were complemented by observations of the ships, current measurements at moored buoy station, and satellite observations.
