Summary | Temperature and salinity data have been collected by Port Erin Marine Laboratory (part of the University of Liverpool) in Port Erin Bay, Isle of Man. Temperature is recorded twice daily (1000h and 1600h) and salinity daily at 1600h. Temperatures are recorded using a thermometer. Salinity has been determined on a daily basis only since 1966, first by Autolab salinometer and finally by using a Plessey salinometer. These data continue to be collected. |
