Description 
Summary

The data sets comprise: 1. Counts of fixed areas at Port St. Mary Ledges on the Isle of Man, from 1977 onwards, by S.J. Hawkins and co-workers. 2. Counts of limpets and other biota on over 140 sites in England, Wales and France between 1980 and 1993. Repeat visits are made annually to Porthleven, Cornwall, and every 2-3 years to sites at Bude, Woolacoombe, Hartland Quay, Lynmouth and Swanage (less frequently). 3. Notebooks with counts of barnacles and other biota at various sites in south west England (1950-1988), and also Celler Beach to Plymouth (1993) (A.J. Southward, visiting Professor at the University of Liverpool, based at the Marine Biological Association (MBA), Plymouth).
