Description
Summary

Data refers to the samplings taken during four cruises in the Galician shelf: 'BREOGAN 484,' 'BREOGAN 984', 'BREOGAN 785' and 'BREOGAN 386'. Samples of mesozooplankton were taken from 100m to 50m and from this point up to the surface. Microzooplankton was collected with a submergible pump from 35-40m to the chlorophyll maximum, and from that point to the surface. Filtration experiments were only carried out with mesozooplankton at those stations which coincided with those taking samples of microzooplankton. The July 85 cruise focused on the study of the temporary variations in two transects, one opposite the Ria de Arosa, the other opposite Cape Villano, during a period of two weeks. The other cruises sampled all the shelf and took in 12 and 23 samples.
