Observations
Parameters

Sediment resuspension; Chlorophyll pigment concentrations in water bodies; Dissolved oxygen parameters in the water column; Zooplankton wet weight biomass; Nitrate concentration parameters in the water column; Nitrite concentration parameters in the water column; Phosphate concentration parameters in the water column; Salinity of the water column; Secchi disk depth; Silicate concentration parameters in the water column; Temperature of the water column

Instruments

Salinity sensor; autoanalysers; spectrophotometers

Description
Summary

The variation of the above mentioned parameters was determined in the column of water of 0-200 m depth. The samples were taken at fixed stations located around the Canary Islands with the purpose of investigating the quality of the waters. The project was included in the National Network for Marine Environment Observation of the Spanish Institute of Oceanography.
