Description
Summary

Marine chemistry data have been collected on a variety of research cruises, primarily to the eastern North Atlantic, but also to the Indian Ocean, Southern Oceans, Bay of Biscay and English Channel. In addition to measuring dissolved oxygen, nutrient, trace element, isotope and dissolved gas concentrations in the water column, chemical analyses of the sediment and the pore water have also been carried out using a variety of corers and a pore water sampler to collect the data. Some geochronology work has also been undertaken. Nutrient data collected for the NERC North Sea Project were the responsibility of IOS Deacon Laboratory; these data are available through BODC.
