Accelerometers; snow and ice samplers; wave recorders

Description
Summary

Arrays of accelerometers, tiltmeters and strainmeters were deployed on icebergs, fast ice and sea ice to determine the wave field propagating through the ice. Sometimes simultaneous measurements of the ocean wave spectra were made to assess the wave attenuation due to the ice.
