Description
Summary

The data set resulted from an oceanographic survey to investigate the tactical exploitation of the of Polar and Arctic Fronts, Marginal ice zone and under-ice regions. This forms the DRA contribution to the ICEX-90 programme. Data collected include SeaSoar, meteorology, XBT, CTD, sea surface parameters and pigments. Data were collected by the Tactical Exploitation Section of the Sonar Performance Division at DRA, Portland. All data have been screened for format and data errors and corrected to produce a 'clean' data set. Almost all of the SeaSoar data are stored in the DRA archive system and have been processed to the DRA standard MIDAS user data file format.
