| Summary | The data set comprises 827 CTD profiles of temperature and salinity collected on five cruises between 1983 and 1988. In addition, 71 series of moored current meter data were collected as follows: In 1982, 16 current meters were deployed for 16 days; in 1983, 49 current meters were deployed for periods varying from 9 to 90 days; in 1984, 2 current meters were deployed and in 1986 4 current meters were deployed for 100 days. The data from the 1987 and 1988 cruises were collected as part of the Scottish Coastal Current programme and the Autumnal Circulation Experiment (ACE). |
