Description
Summary

The data set comprises surface air temperature, precipitation, sea level pressure and sea surface temperature for the period 1950 to 1979. Monthly, seasonal and annual values with interannual standard deviations are available on a 2.5 ° x 2.5 ° grid in PP format. Coverage is limited to 45 ° S to 90 ° N. Note the Hadley Centre comments: Original sea surface temperature global climatology is that of Shea, Trenberth and Reynolds. Precipitation climatology has been used successfully.
