Description | |
Summary | CTD and current measurements were carried out in the Ligurian Sea during November 1979. Two moorings were located at (44.05° N, 8.83° E) and (43.83° N, 9.17° E) respectively, and 23 CTD casts were performed close to the mooring line. Salinity and density depth series were obtained from the measured parameter (pressure, temperature, conductivity). CTD measurements were performed during November 1980, February 1981, May-June 1983 and October 1984 from the Southern Tyrrhenian to the Adriatic Sea, passing through the Strait of Messina and the Ionian Sea. A regular acquisition of meteorological parameters was also carried out. In the region of the Strait of Messina the evolution of internal waves was studied by maintaining along a transect the probe at a chosen depth. |
