Description
Summary

As contributions to several environmental studies on Italian marine shelfs, textural, mineralogical, and chemical characteristics of sediments have been analyzed. Sampling areas were the west Ligurian coast, La Spezia harbour, Tuscany shelf and North Tyrrhenian basin, Gulf of Gaeta, northwestern Sicilian shelf, Gulf of Taranto and central Adriatic shelf (on the Italian side). Parameters measured were: the mineralogical and chemical composition and the granulometry. Data are stored both on Alpha station and in report notes.
