Description
Summary

Two oceanographic cruises were carried out in the Gulf of Taranto, the first with 48 stations in the period 14 to 17 April, 1983 and the second with 50 stations in the period 5 to 9 September, 1984. CTD measurements were taken using a calibrated Neil Brown profiler. Temperature and conductivity depth series were collected and vertical profiles of salinity and density were calculated at 1 meter depth intervals from the measured temperature, pressure and conductivity using the standard algorithm of UNESCO.
