| Summary | In the frame of EOCUMM project promoted by the CoNISMa (Consorzio Nazionale Interuniversitario per le Scienze del Mare) oceanographic surveys were carried out in the southern part of Tyrrhenian Sea during July 1994 and June/July 95. The project was aimed to characterize the marine system of the Eolian Islands and surrounding basins of Cefalu' and Gioia. During July 1994 two moorings, each one equipped with two Aanderaa currentmeters and two sedimental traps, were deployed in the 'Golfo di Gioia' and in the 'Canale di Salina' for a period of 15 days. From 7 to 11 July hydrological data were collected in a 33 station grid, while during June 1995/July 1995 two moorings and 82 hydrological stations were performed. |
