Summary

The hydrochemical properties in the Strait of Magellan were analyzed in the framework of a monitoring program scheduled with an interdisciplinary approach to study the sedimentology of the basin. In particular the hydrological stations were so distributed: 2 stations in the Pacific Ocean; 2 stations within the Canal Beagle; 1 station Brazo del Noroeste; 1 station Canal Ballenero; 1 station Canal Cockburn; 1 station Canal Magdalena; 9 stations in the Punta Arenas basin; 4 stations in Atlantic Ocean entrance.
