Description
Summary

Monitoring of microzooplankton communities at 15 stations located in the Northern Adriatic Sea covering the whole Adriatic basin in the north of the line between Ravenna (Italy) and Lussino (Croatia). The microzooplankton data were collected during 9 cruises from March to October 1990, 6 cruises from June to November 1991 and 9 cruises from March to November 1992. At each station samples are taken by bottle at three depths (surface, intermediate, bottom) along the water column. The method according to Uthermohl is used for the determination and the counting of the samples. The different biological features are analyzed in relation to the impact of mucilaginous aggregates on the Northern Adriatic ecosystem.
