Description
Summary

The aim of this work is the monitoring of potentially toxic species of Dinoflagellates (particular attention to genus Dinophysis) at 5 sampling sites (P.ta Sdobba, Sistiana, S. Croce, Miramare, P.ta Sottile) in the Gulf of Trieste. The monitoring of toxic algae is carried out from October 1991 to April 1993. At each station environmental parameters are determined and horizontal, vertical net samples are taken for a qualitative study. Bottle samples for quantitative analyses are collected at surface, 5m and 10m. Cores of sediments are collected for cysts study. The samples have been collected monthly during the winter; twice a month during the spring-summer period.
