Description | |
Summary | DOLCEVITA is an international project focusing on the Adriatic Sea sponsored by the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and involving several oceanographers, both experimentalists and modelers, of the United States and Europe. The main objective of the DOLCEVITA project is to quantify the kinematic and dynamic properties of the northern and middle Adriatic (NMA) Sea. In particular the experimental work includes collection data provided by drifters and high-frequency coastal radars. 120 drifters were deployed in the North-Middle Adriatic Sea. Position and Sea Surface Temperature data are transmitted to OGS via ARGOS in real-time. Surface velocity fields are calculated. |
