Description
Summary

The CTD data were collected in the framework of a research program scheduled to reach a comprehensive knowledge of the physical and chemical oceanography of the Northern Adriatic. The original CTD data were collected, controlled, analyzed and worked up by OGS team. The high resolution data of each station were averaged over 1 dbar pressure interval. The salinity has been computed according to the practical salinity scale of 1978. The data are stored as depth series per cruise and per station. The CTD stations were occupied during 14 seasonal cruises, 2 of which were carried out in spring (1977, 1979), 5 in summer (1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1982), 3 in autumn (1980, 1981, 1982) and 4 in winter (1977, 1980, 1981, 1982). The data set comprises about 1350 vertical profiles.
