The marine current data were collected in the framework of the multidisciplinary monitoring program of the Adriatic Sea scheduled to determin the current state of the ecosystem and pollution in relation to its basic hydrological features and dynamics. The moorings were deployed with 1, 2 or 3 more current meters. The time series were usually recorded at sampling interval of 5 minutes. The data are fully quality controlled for gaps, spikes and spurious data. The raw data are averag over 1 hour time interval and analyzed to produce spectral analysis, tidal component and residual. The data sets are stored as a raw time series for each current meter (1 data cycle of temperature, speed and direction every 5 minutes).
