Summary | The project is a part of the SMHI's contribution to the Swedish National Monitoring Programme. The objective is to have operational knowledge of the algal situation of the phytoplankton situation in the seas surrounding Sweden. Qualitative and/or quantitative phytoplankton samples from one station in each of the basins in the Baltic proper and the Skagerrak and Kattegat are analysed once a month. The results are made available at the web site of SMHI shortly after each cruise. The data are stored as MS Excel files and the overview maps are made in MS PowerPoint. |
