Description
Summary

Surveys were primarily designed to determine the distribution and abundance of groundfish, to monitor environmental parameters and to obtain information on radiobiological pollution. The grid comprises 73 trawl positions. Temperature and salinity observations are taken at each trawl position. This survey is a continuation of the CEFAS NSGFS survey using a different gear and is part of an ICES co-ordinated programme.
