Description
Summary

Surveys were designed to determine the distribution and abundance of commercial gadoids in relation to the distribution of Norway pout in order to delimit an area where a ban on industrial fishing could be imposed as a conservation measure. The survey comprised 72 fixed trawling positions. In order to map seasonal and annual variations in distribution and abundance, surveys were carried out during various quarters of the years. Some stations were not worked, particularly on the 4th quarter surveys, due to adverse weather.
